Situated only 40 miles from central London and less than 20 miles from Cambridge, North Hertfordshire is a district of great rural beauty featuring picturesque villages set amongst its three historic market towns and the first Garden City, Letchworth, which displays the visionary urban design concepts of Ebernezer Howard.

The district offers a wonderful location for a few days serenity away from the hubbub of the big city or alternatively can form the perfect base for tourists wishing to make frequent visits into London mixed with visits to the rest of the UK.

For those wishing to tour further afield, two of London's principal airports are within an hours journey time with London Luton within 10 miles of the west of the district and London Stansted within 20 miles of our eastern boundary.

The areas history can be traced back to the Iron Age and Roman settlement as well as Knights Templar connections at Baldock and our local museums have a wide range of artefacts from these early eras There are many attractions both within the district or within 20 miles radius and we have provided below web links to various sites which will give you a host of local tourist information.
