Walking, fishing, shooting, golf, cycling or just idling, whatever your thing is we can help you enjoy your stay. The Queens Head is noted for its excellent home cooked food. Using the best of local and seasonal produce we have built an enviable reputation so whether you choose something from the daily blackboard or the a la carte menu you will not be disappointed. Breakfast will set you up for the whole day with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals and muesli followed by a cooked breakfast, choose from scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, Kippers with a potato scone or the full Northumbrian Grill with toast and preserves. We aim to make your stay comfortable and welcoming without being intrusive. There is a private lounge away from the bar if you just want to read the papers in peace and quiet but the locals are friendly and the Beer is excellent (as is the wine..) so we hope you can visit us in Rothbury soon.

On the top floor of the hotel we have four loft rooms which are accessible by 59 stairs from the reception area. The hotel has no lift facility due to its historic nature.
