The Queens Head NORTHUMBERLAND

With 7 traditionally furnished en-suite bedrooms, a private car park, comfortable bar and a newly refurbished restaurant, the Queens Head is an ideal base to explore this varied County. Walking, fishing, shooting, golf, cycling or just idling, whatever your thing is we can help you enjoy your stay. The Queens Head is noted for its excellent home cooked food. Using the best of local and seasonal produce we have built an enviable reputation so whether you choose something from the daily blackboard or the a la carte menu you will not be disappointed. Breakfast will set you up for the whole day with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals and muesli followed by a cooked breakfast, choose from scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, Kippers with a potato scone or the full Northumbrian Grill with toast and preserves. We aim to make your stay comfortable and welcoming without being intrusive. There is a private lounge away from the bar if you just want to read the papers in peace and quiet but the locals are friendly and the Beer is excellent (as is the wine..) so we hope you can visit us in Rothbury soon.

On the top floor of the hotel we have four loft rooms which are accessible by 59 stairs from the reception area. The hotel has no lift facility due to its historic nature.

Rainbow Cottage Northumberland
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Tynedale countryside in the small village of Ridsdale. Rainbow Cottage is a traditional stone built two bedroom cottage that sleeps up to 4 people. It has fantastic views across the valley. It has original features such as beamed ceilings and an open fire as well as a modern décor and the convenience of central heating. It is available all year round for weeks or short breaks. All bedding and towels are provided as well as an initial supply of logs and coal.There is outdoor seating on the patio at back of cottage and a bench at front.Please note your are booking a whole property so a deposit of one third is required to book the cottage which the owner will contact you for when the booking is made.

Holly Bush Inn Northumberland
