The Oxford Arms is nestled in Kington a small peaceful town in rural Herefordshire it dates in parts back to the 17th Century it is mainly a timber frame and stone building that has been added to over the years and in Victorian times the front fa├žade was added. There is still a lot of timber inside however which gives you a real feel for its age. The Oxford Arms is the perfect place to enjoy wholesome home-made traditional pub food in a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is situated on Bradnor Hill and is over 390m above sea level. br / br / br / br / At the West end of Kington is a tall clock tower that commemorates Queen Victoria s jubilee in 1887. There is also a very beautiful recreation ground at this end of the town that is surrounded by trees and has a shallow river running along one edge. br / br / br / br / St Mary s church overlooks Kington with its 18th century lynch gate and massive Norman tower and from here you have panoramic views down the Arrow Valley.
